A'PIEU WATER LIGHT TINT || #CR01 Grapefruit, #RD03 Bitter Rose, #RD04 Berry

woensdag 2 oktober 2019

Hands down my favorite lip tint of 2019. I use this literally every single day, that's how much I love it. The A'pieu Water Light Tint has been around for a while now, so I'm super excited to finally share these babies with you guys and I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

A'pieu is a sister brand of the more well know Korean beauty brand Missha that caters more towards younger woman in their 20's. There is both a makeup line and a skincare line and their masks are especially so cute, but today the highlights are the Water Light Tint lip stain. It claims to deliver a vivid pigmentation with a glossy finish that lastes for hours, while it's also lightweight creating naturally plump and dewy lips. Sounds promising huh, we will find out. The colors I will be reviewing today are #CR01 Grapefruit: which is a bright coral color, #RD03 Bitter Rose: which is my everyday pick, a dusty rose color and #RD04 Berry: which is a dark berry red color. I got one gifted to me for my birthday, but I loved it so much that I got 2 more. It is super affordable (they go for 6-8 bucks) and findable online. I got mine from the Jolse Ebay store, but you can easily find it at other places too, like Yesstyle.

Ingredients
First time I'm adding the ingredients to a review, since a lot of us including me don't know what we are putting ON our body. It is as important as knowing what you're putting IN your body, because it's your body and you only have ONE body. So I hope this little section informs us a bit more and that it is useful.

The main ingredients are:
  • Fruit Peel Oil Complex, that includes orange peel oil and lemon peel oil. This adds nourishment and glow to the lips.
  • Lotus water that moisturizes the lips
  • Different kinds of fruit and flower extracts for revitalizing the lips

Look and feel
The packaging looks and feels sturdy. I can easily throw this in any bag or purse and it won't spill or break. It is coated with an iridescent layer, which creates a cool holographic effect. It comes with a twist cap (very secure) that spots Water Light Tint in black. What surprises me is that the brand name is nowhere to be seen on the packaging, not even at the bottom.

The pigmentation of this is insane especially for a lip tint, one coat is enough to get the right amount of product on your lips. Do keep in mind that lighter colors are more sheer and darker colors are more pigmented. If you want a softer more gradient look, you can blend it out with your fingers. I usually go with a full lip, because it slightly stains as well. My naturally lip color is quite dull so a little bit of staining is perfect for me. It glides on so easy and the texture is smooth, not leaving my lips dry at all. I like the finish as well, as claimed it is a more dewy wet finish than a greasy gloss finish that is extremely light weight. It doesn't do any plumping for me, but since I'm not looking for that in a lip product its not a big deal.

If you havent heard about this gem or are interested in trying it out, I definitely recommend this product. Go get yourself one now and let me know!

ETUDE HOUSE DEAR DARLING TINT REVIEW || RD401, Real Red

donderdag 19 juli 2018

It's been a while that I picked up a lip tint. The biggest reason for me to avoid them for the longest time was how it always made my lips super dry and flakey. Lip tints were also an unfamiliar trend in western countries so I always leaned more towards lipsticks even tho I loved the gradient lip look. But now I'm adjusting to the Shanghai lifestyle and trends. I've been seeing a lot of Korean influences, from Korean makeup brands to Korean makeup looks and fashion. So I tried it out one more time, a lip tint.

PONY EFFECT FAVORITE FLUID LIP TINT REVIEW || #LOVE POTION, #SHEER DELIGHT, #CHERISH VALUES

woensdag 31 januari 2018

Pony is my ultimate Korean beauty queen and the sole reason I started focusing more on Korean beauty. For the people who don't know her (shame on you!! jk), she's a Korean makeup artist not only well known in Korea but also globally successful. She recently did a collaboration with Bella Hadid for Dior in this super fun videogame inspired video.

She also has her own Youtube Channel and makeup line that I couldn't resist! 3 lipsticks I'm reviewing today and let me tell you.. these lipsticks are making a huge jump on to my favorites list.

Look and feel
The packaging is simple but edgy enough to catch my eye. It has your regular liquid lipstick form but it's a glossy rose gold color that I absolute adore. If you guys know me then you know my obsession for rose gold everything. The packaging has Pony Effect on it with the color from the lipstick. I assume that this is the actual product which is a nice twist but not really convenient. I've never finished a lipstick before (shocker), but I can imagine the struggle I would have when I'm almost at the end of the lipstick but I can't even see what color it is.

It feels and the consistency is like a lip gloss, but the finish is not that glossy and most importantly not as sticky. It feels watery at first but then absorbs into your lips. It also stains it a bit which I love because my lips always looks weird after eating. It is pigmented but the first layer is definitely a bit sheer. If you want a solid color on your lips I recommend 2 or 3 layers for it to really pop.

How do I feel about this product?
When I first used this product I was like uuuuuh why does this feels like a lipgloss. I don't like lip glosses at all, probably because I only remember those lip glosses back in the days. You know those really cheap ones with glitter and the stickiest consistency ever, ugh nasty. But I really liked the finish of this product and was like hey, I could totally rock this. It looks more watery than glossy which gives it a more innocent and natural look. For a "lipgloss" the lasting power is quite good and it also stains your lips so you don't need to re-apply frequently. This is seriously my to go lip product for many reasons but the most important one is the fact that it doesn't dry out my lips which is perfect for the colder days. Glossy lips are making a huge comeback this year in the Korean beauty world and the Favorite Fluid Lip Tint from Pony Effect is the perfect product to pick up for this trend.

Have you guys tried out any other "Pony Effect" products? Let me know :)

Color Lasting Tint Aritaum Review || Colors 01. Nude Coat, 09. Tangerine Girl and 15. Gotham Red

zondag 24 juli 2016

I keep spoiling myself with more and more lip products, there is just no end to it. Lately i've been leaning more towards lip tints than lipsticks, because tints stains your lips and after a while it looks quite natural. So for a lazy girl like me it's definitely less work reapplying it. I decided to try out the Color Lasting Tint from Aritaum and picked up a nude color. I loved it so much so I had to get more colors and that's how I ended up with 3 tints to review!
